Letter from the Project Director

Mission
To put well-supported voter file technology directly in the hands of dedicated local leaders working for democracy and empowerment.

Vision
To provide voter file data services for progressive organizations and campaigns of all sizes, and help them drive long-term structural change by running effective, fun, data-driven, and highly personal campaigns. We use the Voter Activation Network or VAN: the same system used by the Obama and Clinton campaigns in the 2008 California Primary.

What's New

Check out our new two-page guide on how and why to run a data-driven field campaign, and .pdf turnout maps for Orange County, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Central Valley, Sacramento, San Bernardino, and Colusa or San Francisco and Alameda County on flickr.

Neighborhood Letters are a great tactic, and the VAN makes them easy to do. Click here for a sample letter from the Feb 5th 2008 primary.
