Dan Ancona, Project Director
Dan Ancona was a software engineer, technologist and entrepreneur for 10
years prior to his current role as Project Director of California
VoterConnect. He is the veteran of several technology startups
(including, briefly, one of his own), and has volunteered and consulted
for a number of local, state and national political campaigns and
organizations. He served on the boards of SBCAN and the Santa Barbara
County Democratic Central Committee, and writes occasionally at Speak
Out California!
Shantha Susman, Director of Outreach
Before joining California VoterConnect in September, 2006, Shantha Susman was most recently the Executive Director of OaklandVOTE, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to increasing voter turnout in Oakland's African American, Asian American, and Latino communities. Previously, she was the Deputy Director for the Minnesota DFL Kerry-Edwards Coordinated Campaign, and has worked with a number of voter mobilization organizations and community advocacy groups, including the New York Public Interest Research Groups Straphangers Campaign. Originally from New York City, Shantha received her BA from Cornell University.
